WOW: TBC Blizzard`s Monkeyshine
In the World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade, Blizzard gave the players so many surprise for the new world. They also set up a NPC to "callback" players? superfluous gold. A guy named "Griftah" selling "Amazing Amulets" in the Lower City of Shattrathfor will let you mad.
An ordinary person, upon seeing a guy named "Griftah" selling "Amazing Amulets" in the Lower City of Shattrathfor very high prices, may think twice before buying the amulets. But Gazzle is no ordinary gnome. He spent 25 gold on the "Polished Pendant of Edible Energy" -- whose tooltip states "Focusing one?s metabolism, this pendant allows the wearer to draw great energy from ordinary food and drink -- even heal wounds!" Upon equipping it and conjuring up some food and water, he discovered that he wasn?t regening health and mana any faster. Disillusioned, he posted a "Shame on you, Blizzard" message on the WoW General forums and went off to try ... the other amulet he purchased.
A round of mocking follows in which a ton of people point out that the amulet does exactly what the tooltip says it does, and it?s not the amulet?s fault if the health and mana would regenerate anyway. It?s kind of like purchasing a "Talisman of Protection from Crocodile Attacks" if you live in Minnesota -- hey, it must be working, because I haven?t been attacked by crocodiles! Along those lines, Griftah also sells an "Infallible Tikbalang Ward," which protects you from Tikbalang attacks.
I agree with Tseric -- let the buyer beware on these items. Or, as another poster states, "I prefer to think of it as a stupid tax."
According to Allakhazam, Griftah also sells:
A Talisman of True Treasure Tracking, which allows you to get loot from mobs, for 35g. A Compassionate Critter?s Friend, which keeps you from being attacked by the bunnies, cats, and other vicious Level 1 critters roaming the world, for 20g. A Stone of Stupendous Springing Strides, which lets you jump, for 35g. A Marvelous Madstone of Immortality, which lets you rez after running back to your corpse, for 40g. A Charm of Potent and Powerful Passions, which says it will let you win your heart?s desire, for 30g. A Shark?s Tooth of Bona Fide Fluidic Mobility, which allows you to swim, for 15g. And finally, Soap on a Rope, which is pretty much just soap on a rope, for the bargain price of 1g. I sort of want to get the Soap on a Rope for my guildmates. Maybe after I get a flying mount. Have you bought any of these items, or laughed at a guildmate who got swindled?

WOW: First lvl 60 Draenei Shaman
Curse Gaming revealed the first lvl 60 Draenei Shaman in World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade has come into our eyes, Slops is not only the first Draenei to level 60 but also the first alliance side Shaman to level 60.
Congratulations to Disposable Heroes very own Slops on hitting level 60 today. Not only is Slops the very first Draenei to level 60 but he is also the first alliance side Shaman to level 60 as well! With an incredible /played of 3 days and 9 hours Slops reached level 60 only six and a half days after the Burning Crusade was released, we salute you Slops.
Clearly a lot of time and work was put into this accomplishment and it is rumored to not only be a first on Aggramar but also possibly a World of Warcraft first. Additionally it is also said to have shattered the previous record of time to level 60 that was previously held at a little over 4 days.

World of Warcraft : The Bruning Crusade Breaks Sales Records
Blizzard Entertainment® today announced that World of Warcraft®: The Burning Crusade™ has broken the day-one sales record to become the fastest-selling PC game ever in North America and Europe, with a worldwide total of nearly 2.4 million copies sold in the first 24 hours of availability. The Burning Crusade, the first expansion set for World of Warcraft, was simultaneously released in North America, Europe, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia on January 16, and on January 17 in Australia and New Zealand.
Blizzard had supplied more than 4 million game boxes to retailers worldwide, and more than 5,000 stores throughout the world had their doors open at midnight to welcome thousands of expectant players.
Day-one sales totals on both continents were similar, with an estimated total of nearly 1.2 million copies sold on the first day in North America and an estimated total of more than 1.1 million copies sold in Europe within the first 24 hours of launch.* By the end of the first day of availability on both continents, a total of more than 1.7 million players had already logged in and upgraded World of Warcraft to play The Burning Crusade.
"The Burning Crusade has already exceeded even our most ambitious expectations," said Mike Morhaime, president and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "We're pleased that so many players are eager to see all of the new content that the expansion has to offer, and we look forward to seeing everyone online as additional players continue to upgrade in the days ahead."
Retailers are continuing to report sustained demand, so if players have not yet purchased their copy of The Burning Crusade, they are advised to call ahead to make sure their store has copies on hand. Additional shipments of the expansion have been routed to retailers to help maintain stock levels.
"The immediate popularity of The Burning Crusade once again shows that Blizzard consistently delivers what gamers want," said Robert McKenzie, senior vice president of merchandising at GameStop Corp. "In addition to setting a new day-one PC-game sales record at our GameStop and EB Games stores, the expansion garnered more online pre-orders than any other PC game in our company's history."
Prior to the launch of The Burning Crusade, World of Warcraft was played by more than 8 million players around the world -- with more than 2 million on North American realms and more than 1.5 million on European realms -- making it the most successful subscription-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game in PC-gaming history.

Here it the interview from World of Raids.com
[WoR]Teza: Can you introduce yourself quickly in a few words?
Gullerbone: I am french and 24 years old, a member of Millenium (french guild) since 1-2 months and I was the one playing the mage called Gawell for this exp rush, eventually I will reroll shaman to complete my PvP arena team.
[WoR]Teza: Whats your played time from 60 to 70? Which zone were you in when you reached lvl 70?
Gullerbone: It took me 28 hours to get from 60 to 70, and dinged 70 at 4:04 am (CET) on Januar 17. I was in Netherstorm (subzone: Mana forge) when i reached lvl 70.
[WoR]Teza: What was your preparation? How did you make it in such a short time?
Gullerbone: Cau (the 1st european lvl 60) and I planned the exp route step by steps, trying everything to make sure it was the most approriate, the groups organization with the guild Millenium and their members. Each member rotated using a definite order to help me to grind on mobs, mostly with AE, surrounded with several guildmates healers, tanks, pullers etc...
[WoR]Teza: How many people were involved in your leveling project?
Gullerbone: All 40 members were involved; Milleniums member were assigned to specific tasks and planning inorder to keep me leveling and the maximum rate.
[WoR]Teza: Was it 10-20 or more people killing mobs after you tagged them?
Gullerbone: Well at first we had be only 5 (during the first 10 hours or so) so that 10 of the members could get lvl 62. then in the morning we were 15 inorder to kill the mobs at a faster rate. Finally in the evening, everyone was involved and we could gather a 35 man raid to help me in netherstorm with our newly lvl 62 doing most of the job.
[WoR]Teza: Right, were you the only one playing Gawell from 60 to 70 for the whole duration 28 hours?
Gullerbone: I sure did, I slept form 2 to 10pm on monday (waked up 2 hours before TBC launch),so the physical preparation was a part of the plan.
[WoR]Teza: Fine, any last words?
Gullerbone: It has been a pleasure to do this with Millenium, I hope we come across other similar challenges in the futur, I am very gratefull to every Millenium members.
