Willie Nelson Influenced Achievement

According to an article over on dasgamer.com, the American country singer-songwriter and actor Willie Nelson influenced a thing or two in World of Warcraft.

In an interview recently, Jeff Kaplan, lead game designer of WoW, spoke about an achievement called "To All The Squirrels I’ve Loved Before". The achievement requires players to do the /love emote to various critters in the game, but the name is obviously a nod to Nelson's song "To All The Girls I’ve Loved Before". I know most of the younger readers may not have heard of Nelson before, but he was quite a celebrity back in the 70s by all accounts, and many of his songs are still popular, including the one that's been referenced in WoW.

Kaplan revealed the love of Willie Nelson comes from his father, who used to take the young Jeff to concerts featuring the 70s icon.
